“ Everything was great! We went there for lunch and were greeted at the door warmly. My wife had a Coconut Martini and loved it. We ordered the Pulled Short Rib and Herb Ricotta Crostini as an appetizer (which was delicious and a large portion). I ordered the Chicken Cutlet BLT on house made focaccia and really enjoyed it! My wife ordered the Ravioli Pomodoro and which she loved! Big portions, so bring your appetite (we couldn't finish and came home with lunch for tomorrow). The service was excellent (thank you Desmond) and the owner came by to check on our experience and we had a nice conversation. We'll be back for sure, and look forward to live music while enjoying dinner - and when it gets warmer sitting outdoors. ”

“ Today we enjoyed our second visit to our new favorite restaurant. Nancy was our server and was very helpful. Nancy pointed out that all menu items are cooked to order so if we had any changes to be made they could accommodate us. We ordered appetizers and almost immediately changed our mind. Nancy was patient and polite about that. When ordering entrees, I ordered the gluten-free chicken and eggplant sorrentino and commented I'd love the veal dish but it's not gluten free. Nancy said no problem we will do the veal gluten free for you. WOW! It was very impressive to say the least. So, we ordered the short rib app and the flight of meatballs app. Our entrees were gluten free veal and eggplant sorrentino with corn penne and penne with chicken and shrimp in vodka sauce. Everything was delicious. The corn penne was even better than most pasta penne. The three different flavors in the flight of meatballs were remarkable, sweet and savory and spicy. The atmosphere is comfortable and service very attentive. We will be back! ”

“ Just a quick update ... I had another wonderful lunch here at Buteras . The staff is fantastic, professional and polite as always ! I had the grill chicken with spinach , roasted peppers and mozzarella on focaccia bread .. it was outrageously delicious! Tender flavorful chicken with the veggies and cheese made it so delectable! I opted for the salad with vinaigrette dressing , it was so fresh and tasty ! Perfect place for a really nice lunch ! ”

“ Not sure why it's taken me so long to try Butera's! I went here this past Friday with my dear friend, Emily B, to celebrate the end of her internship. At the recommendation of both her and our amazing waitress, Tara, I ordered the chicken BLT. I opted for the fries, which I, of course, dipped into the garlic aioli sauce that came with the sandwich. Each bite of the BLT was somehow better than the last. And the fries... wow. They had that rare yet perfect crisp that one can only hope for when ordering them. I came into this meal absolutely starving, yet the servings were so generously large that I ended up taking half of it to go! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Tara again. She was so warm, down to earth, and absolutely genuine. As you can tell by their nearly perfect Yelp rating, their combo of great food and incredible service is surely a winning one. Can not wait to come back! Easy 5/5 for me ”

“ Two words: Blown. Away. Butera's of Bay Shore is worth the hype! My family and I started with limoncello shrimp which was in a creamy sauce with almonds and the pesto calamari which was over broccoli rabe and cannelloni beans. Never have I had broccoli rabe cooked perfectly from a restaurant before. Only my grandma could do it but consider me impressed that Butera's knocked it out of the park. For my main I got the linguine with clams and again they were cooked perfectly. Not fishy at all, and not over cooked. The sauce wasn't so heavy that I felt like a brick after either. This was a phenomenal dinner. Our waiter was amazing, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to refill a glass or bring some cheese. It's a little noisy so I wouldn't recommend for a quiet date spot but for amazing Italian food you should definitely give this spot a try. ”
